The Eyeglass Project, first conducted in 2001 at the ERDA Technical and Vocational High School in Pandacan, Manila, is a bi-annual outreach project for the benefit of poor elementary and high school students in public schools around Metro Manila and neighboring provinces.  In partnership with optometrist, Dr. Jeson Viñas and Claire Vision Opticals, ABC Foundation visits public elementary and high schools to extend free eye check-ups and free prescription eyeglasses to needy students.

Since 2001, ABC Foundation has given prescription eyeglasses to students from the following schools:

Once a public elementary/high school has been identified, ABC Foundation, along with partner optometrists, Jeson Viñas will visit the school and conduct eye examinations for all students suspected by teachers to have problems with their eyesight.  Once all the students have been examined, the Foundation and Dr. Viñas will return to the school a week later with the personalized prescription eyeglasses for the students in need.    The foundation provides 200 pairs of prescription eyeglasses per Eyeglass Project, and as of S.Y. 2015-2016, has given over 9,170 pairs of eyeglasses.

A pair of prescription eyeglasses costs P500 each, and one Eyeglass Project with 200 pairs of prescription eyeglasses costs P60,000.00.  A check for this amount is paid directly to Dr. Jeson Viñas, who issues ABC Foundation an official receipt.
