Robert Bosch, Inc., through Springboard Foundation, has been a Charity Partner of ABC Foundation since S.Y. 2006-2007, when they sponsored 90 1st year Night High School scholars from Siena College, Taytay, Rizal and Siena College, Quezon City, for their “adopt-a-school” program, launched in 2006.
Every school year, Robert Bosch, Inc. organizes various activities for their Night High scholars, such as orientations, Christmas parties, and office visits. The Night High scholars are also invited to join special events sponsored by Bosch to promote their “adopt-a-school” program.
This school year, the employees of Robert Bosch prepared a special Career Day and Orientation for their Night High scholars from Siena College, Taytay, Rizal and Siena College, Quezon City, who will be graduating in March, 2011.
September 9, 2010, ABC Foundation, Springboard Foundation and Robert Bosch, Inc. visited the 5th year Bosch Night High scholars at Siena College, Quezon City for the half-day career talks and orientation.
Mr. Joseph Hong, President of Robert Bosch, Inc. was among the speakers who talked about their educational backgrounds, different work experiences and present careers. Also in attendance from Robert Bosch, Inc. to share some career insights and give valuable career advice to the Night High scholars were Mr. Martin Valenzuela, Power Tools Marketing Manager, Ms. Ces Cervania, Purchasing Manager, Mr. Alvin Limgenco, Finance Manager and Mr. Kaycee Crisostomo, PR and Corporate Communications Manager.
Ms. Annette Helbig and Ms. Gina Tuazon of Springboard Foundation were also in attendance, as well as Chairman Lew Edwards, Ms. Hidie Niedo and Mr. Carlos Cipriano of ABC Foundation and Ms. Apple Llave of F1C International Consultant.
Aside from talking to the Night High scholars about the different college courses they can major in, and the skills they will need to develop to get jobs in the future, the team from Robert Bosch also talked about the importance of having integrity, motivation, determination and good work ethics, in order for them to succeed in their chosen careers.
