Most people believe that children, because of their young age have clear eyesight and good vision. Unfortunately, that simply isn’t true. There are many cases wherein children attending public schools, are unable to read and learn their lessons properly, not because of low intelligence, but because of poor eyesight. Fortunately there are a lot of generous people, groups, and organizations who are concerned about these issues.
The Rotary Club of Makati District 3830, through the leadership of their President Mr. Reggie Nolido, generously provided 200 pairs of prescription eyeglasses to the students of Guadalupe Viejo Elementary School last November 21, 2014.
The distribution of the eyeglass was held at Barangay Guadalupe Viejo, with their Barangay Chairman, Mr. Dennis Almario, his staff and Kagawad officials in attendance.
Dr. Jeson Viñas, ABC Foundation volunteer optometrist was kind enough to give his time and services to check the children’s eyesight at the Guadalupe Viejo Elementary School prior to the giving of the eyeglasses.
As expected, on the day of the turnover, everyone, especially the students who received eyeglasses was very happy to receive this blessing of being able to see clearly.
Cheers for doing good deeds! This is truly an early Christmas gift for the 200 students of Guadalupe Viejo Elementary School.
