I am Heidi Belle F. Caleja, a product of Night High School of A Better Chance Foundation Inc., a former bona fide student of Siena College of Taytay in 2009.
Last April 10, 2018, I received an award “Teacher of the Year”. It is the first major award I received for almost three (3) years of working as a College Instructor and a Senior High School teacher in Trent Information First Technical Career, Inc. According to the criteria, to be Teacher of the Year, a teacher should inspire all the students to learn. He/she must find ways to make every learner actively participate in class and encourages them to think imaginatively, creatively, critically, and independently. A teacher should also interact enthusiastically and effectively with students beyond the classroom. It also seek for teachers who have respect and admiration of their students. A teacher serves as a role model to everyone and treats them fairly, setting high expectations and being consistent with discipline. Professionally, a teacher has a positive relationship with colleagues and has earned their respect. He/she must also submit all the paper works on time and no record of being late or absent for the entire school year.
