Graduation season will soon be here and A Better Chance Foundation will be having 24 scholars graduate from four different colleges and universities. They will have degrees in: Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Accountancy, Entrepreneurship and Business Administration. We will then have a total of 304 scholars who have graduated with a college degree since we started offering college tuition payments in 2011 and now that has evolved to giving grants to college scholars.
We will also have 72 graduates from our Night High program at 4 Dominican Order Catholic schools that we partner with, providing a good education to children from poor families in the vicinity of schools in Taytay, Rizal, Biñan, Laguna, Pulilan and San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. Our Night High program starts in Grade 7 and goes all the way to graduation in Grade 12. We have had 1,100 scholars graduate from Night High since the program began in 2001.
Among our 304 college graduates that are now out in the world of work we have many Elementary / High School Teachers, several Special Education Teachers, Mechanical Engineers, Civil Engineers, Computer Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Marine Engineers, Business Entrepreneurs, Religious Education Teachers, Computer Science Professors, a dozen Certified Public Accounts (CPA s), Nutritionists, Human Resource, Advertising and Public Relations, Banking and Finance, Psychologist and a Chemist.
We look forward to graduation season to congratulate every scholar who has made it to this pinnacle of success, earning a high school diploma or a college degree. For most of our college scholar graduates they will be the first in their family to reach this milestone.
Good wishes, Lew
